Rocket may link to this guide from testnet releases, beta updates, new market launches, options campaigns, and points windows. Always make sure you are using the official Rocket link for the release you are joining.
Open Rocket
Start from the official Rocket app or the link shared in the current campaign.
- Rocket app (beta): beta.rocketfi.io/trade
- Current testnet release: testnet.rocketfi.io
- Rocket Discord: discord.gg/B73sZNnWcB
Before trading, confirm whether you are using:
- Testnet — used to test new features or markets, usually with testnet funds.
- Beta — live Rocket product environment while the product is still in beta.
- Mainnet — Rocket's live production environment.
If you are not sure which environment to use, follow the link from the current Rocket announcement or ask in Discord.
Connect Your Wallet
Connect your wallet from the Rocket app.
Once connected, confirm that:
- Your wallet is connected.
- You are on the correct network.
- You are using the correct Rocket environment.
- You have the funds or testnet funds needed to place a trade.
Supported wallets: Rocket Embedded Wallet and self-hosted wallets such as MetaMask and other WalletConnect-compatible wallets.
Supported network: Use the network shown in the Rocket app for the release you are joining. If you are unsure, check the current announcement or Rocket Docs.
Fund or Bridge, If Needed
Depending on the release, you may need funds before placing a trade.
- For testnet, use the Claim funds button in the order entry panel on the right side of the trade page to get testnet funds.
- For beta or mainnet, this may mean using supported assets or bridging funds into the right environment.
See Rocket Docs for bridge and funding steps for the current release, or follow the instructions in the campaign you joined.
If there is no funding or bridge step for the current release, connect your wallet and follow the in-app flow.
Choose a Market
Once your wallet is connected and funded, choose the market or product you want to trade.
For an options release, this may include:
- Selecting the asset
- Choosing a call or put, if available
- Selecting a strike
- Selecting an expiration
- Reviewing the quote or premium
For other releases, follow the market flow shown in the Rocket app.
Place Your Trade
Before confirming, review the trade details.
Depending on the product, this may include:
- Market
- Direction
- Size
- Quote or price
- Collateral or premium
- Estimated cost
- Position details
If everything looks correct, confirm the trade and approve the transaction in your wallet if prompted.
View Your Position
After your trade is confirmed, go to the positions, portfolio, or activity view in the Rocket app.
From there, you should be able to review your open position and track its status.
Depending on the market, you may be able to:
- Monitor the position
- Manage the position
- Close the position
- Review activity or trade history
